We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He gave His life on the cross for the sins of humanity. We believe that the church He established (Matthew 16:15-18) is the only true church, the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:22-30, 2 Corinthians 11:2).
As stated above, we believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that it holds all the information and provides everything we need to know in order to please and obey Him. Because of this belief, we strive to follow it just as it is, without adding or taking anything away from it and understanding it in all its relevant context.
We believe that immersion baptism in water is essential to accessing the salvation and cleansing of Christ's shed blood (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:37-39, Acts 8:12-13, Acts 8:36-38). This is how we are brought into His church & become members of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). Through baptism, we are buried with Christ and raised a new creature, putting on Christ (Galatians 3:26-29).
We know from scripture that baptism is not the end of our spiritual walk, but the beginning. We are instructed to continue to obey God's commands and walk uprightly, understanding that we can still separate ourselves from Him if we stray back into a life of sin (1 John 1:5-7). This does not mean that we are meant to be perfect, we all make mistakes, but as long as we are continually striving to lead a life dedicated to God and we repent and make changes when we recognize ourselves stumbling, we know that He can and will forgive us (1 John 1:8-10).
